A Barber-Focused Campus in the Heart of Chula Vista

Alva Beauty Collective’s Chula Vista campus is designed for students who want to focus on building barbering skills. This is technique-first training built for students who want real progress, not busy work. Located on Broadway, our campus is dedicated to technique-first training, with classroom time focused on teaching you to use your hands. Learn theory at home, then come to Chula Vista to develop your skills in detail work and service habits that keep clients coming back. Schedule a tour to see the space, ask questions about our Barber Program, and get clear answers to how to take the next step toward barber training.

A Dedicated Space for Barber Training

Our Chula Vista campus is built around focused barber training. This campus offers 1,300 square feet of space, designed to help students build skills and prepare to sit for the California State Board exam. It follows the same mission for technique-first training as our main campus and feels like a real barbershop from the minute you walk in. That’s because we believe students learn best when their training space feels like a real-world shop, giving them opportunities to build professional habits like station set-up, tool handling, and client communication.

The campus offers:

  • 8 fully equipped barbering stations
  • 5 professional shampoo bowls
  • Classroom seating and instructional space for theory-based learning
  • Tablets and laptops to support hybrid instruction and digital learning platforms
  • Smart TV and whiteboards for instructional use

Chula Vista could be the right place for you if you are looking for a beauty education focused on building barbering skills. If you want to see the stations, ask about how hybrid training works, or just learn more about the school by scheduling a tour with us today.

After being in the dental field for 23 years I decided to go back to school To follow a passion of cutting hair. ALVA was a perfect opportunity to get the schooling I needed to be able to qualify for state board exam and not break the bank. The speedy curriculum and flexible hours made this possible for me. As a Mom and full time employee I needed that flexibility. They were very accommodating when my work schedules changed. The teachers are very knowledgeable on current protocols and techniques. The atmosphere is relaxed but offers the competitiveness that is sometimes helpful in that drive to be better. As one of the older students, I felt right at home and enjoyed the young energy that filled the air. My only regret… Is that I did not do this 23 years ago! The beauty industry is always growing and very competitive when it comes to what you can make financially. I should have done this so long ago!

Thoroughly enjoyed my time at ALVA, loved building connections with my instructors/classmates while learning up to date techniques in the manicurist business world. Really appreciated getting real-world beauty service experiences. Also had so much fun while there!💕

This is a really great beauty school that truly has built a curriculum that suits the needs of the real world. With a hybrid schedule for the academic portion and immediate hands on training at school it is effective in allowing more people to pursue a career while managing life. It's very cool to see the various programs operating in a shared space learning different aspects of professions in the beauty industry. ✨️
