Build Nail Skills With Technique-First Training

Great nails are all in the details. They come from prep, structure, and balance, along with the calm confidence of a well-trained nail tech. Alva Beauty Collective’s Manicurist Program is built for students who learn best by doing. Technique comes first here, so class time is focused on building the skills you can use with real clients, not just about memorizing facts.

Complete your theory hours at home, and come into our Lemon Grove campus for live demonstrations and guided practice. Instruction is available in English and Spanish, with day and evening classes available. Our small class sizes mean you get more opportunities for instructor feedback, so you can refine your skills and prepare to work on real clients with confidence.

If you are ready to build skills you can be proud of, let’s talk. Learn more about our Manicurist Training Program and how you can start enrollment.

Hands-on Nail Training Focused on Building Real Life Skills

Strong nails start with strong fundamentals. Students start by learning the “why” behind a technique at home, then come to campus to turn their book knowledge into real ability. The goal is to leave training with a foundation of skills you can build on, with prep that looks natural, product application that holds up, and finished nails that look good from every angle.

Manicurist Program FAQs

How long is the Manicurist Program?

Our manicurist training includes 400 clock hours. How long it takes you to complete the program will depend on your attendance and how quickly you progress through the skills training. If you’d like to know an approximate graduation date, our admissions team can help you plan a realistic timeline based on your schedule and start date.

Do you offer financial aid?

Alva Beauty Collective does not currently offer federal financial aid. We plan to offer financial aid in the future and will keep you updated on the process. In the meantime, you can use our in-house payment plans to help manage the cost of tuition. Ask our team about current payment plan options.

What's the difference between a Manicurist Program and Cosmetology?

The Manicurist Program focuses exclusively on nail services, so training is typically shorter than Cosmetology. Cosmetology training covers a broader range of services, including nails, hair, and skin. If your main interest is nails, then the Manicurist Training Program may be right for you. If you aren’t sure which program to choose, our admissions team can help.
