Our California beauty college puts technique at the heart of your training. We follow a hybrid model of learning. This means you work through the theory portion of the curriculum on your own time, wherever it is best for you. Then you spend your classroom time focusing on doing, with in-depth demonstrations, guided practice, and hands-on experiences. Many of our programs also offer opportunities to work with real clients in our student salon under the supervision of licensed instructors. If you learn best by doing and want to build technique with hands-on practice, our school could be a good fit for you.

We also try to keep students informed about potential job opportunities in the local area.
Alva’s Lemon Grove campus is the main campus and serves as the administrative and instructional hub. It’s home to our Cosmetology, Esthetics, Massage Therapy, and Manicurist programs. It also offers a student salon that’s open to the public. The Chula Vista site is dedicated to our Barber Training Program.
